Bernard, was the very first Aircraft Handler when the branch formed in 1945. He'd transferred into it from the Seaman branch in 1944, even before the branch was actually created. Bernard, sadly passed away peacefully in his sleep yesterday (9th Feb 2004) after suffering with liver cancer since last August. His funeral will take place at Sutton Coldfield Crematorium on Wed 18th Feb at 1400 hrs. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and our thoughts go out to his wife Sheila and his son & daughter Martin & Linda at this sad time.
