- Fred died in a road accident. He was on his way from Yeovil to Castle Donington, accompanied by a friend on another bike, when the accident occurred on a bend near Nuneaton, no one else was involved. Fred leaves his wife Mandy and three boys. Fred (Paul) Farrand was one of those Aircraft Handler legends who everyone loved. He was a big man with a big heart and a big sense of humour who will be sadly missed by everyone that had the privilege to know him.
